Our Kindergarten Readiness program is designed to help children develop the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten. We focus on building a strong foundation in literacy, math, and social skills.
Starting kindergarten is an exciting milestone, and ensuring your child is well-prepared can make all the difference. Our Kindergarten Readiness Program at Learning Journey is designed to help young learners build the foundational skills they need for a successful start to their educational journey.
This test evaluates a child’s development through a series of engaging, virtual activities specifically designed for four and five-year-olds who are getting ready for Kindergarten. The assessment helps determine which students may need additional support, provides an overview of each child's knowledge in comparison to their peers and highlights both their strengths and areas for improvement. The results are valuable for shaping and guiding classroom instruction to better meet each child's needs.
Our program focuses on key areas essential for kindergarten success. For Early Literacy, we introduce foundational reading skills such as letter recognition, phonics, and basic sight words to build confidence in reading and writing. Our activities in Basic Math concepts focus on number recognition, simple counting, and understanding shapes and patterns to prepare students for early math learning. We emphasize important social skills such as following instructions, and working collaboratively. In addition, through hands-on activities like drawing, cutting, and building, we help children develop the fine motor skills necessary for writing and other classroom tasks.
Through a combination of interactive activities, games, and structured lessons, we create a supportive and engaging environment that fosters both learning and confidence.
