Our reading program is designed to help students, with or without a learning disability such as dyslexia, who are struggling with reading comprehension. We use multisensory techniques, such as the Orton-Gillingham Approach, and Wilson Fundations, to help students improve their reading skills.

Our expert tutors utilize the Orton-Gillingham approach to remediate gaps in reading due to varied learning challenges, including dyslexia. The Orton-Gillingham method is a systematic approach that divides reading and spelling into fundamental skills related to letters and sounds, gradually building and expanding on these skills over time. Our team of tutors emphasize a personalized, systematic, and multisensory strategy for teaching reading, vocabulary and comprehension skills.

This teaching method supports students in mastering word decoding and encoding (spelling) through visual, auditory, verbal, and written practice with letters. This approach focuses on multisensory learning, integrating sight, sound, touch, and movement. It is particularly effective for students with dyslexia who need to develop foundational phonemic awareness (hearing and working with sounds in words).

Our diagnostic assessment provides pertinent information for the tutor to create individualized programs for each student. The results drive their instruction and provide parents with a report of their child’s current academic performance levels.
